Mr. Billy Marvin Howie passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025. He was born in Charlotte, NC to Marvin Joe Howie and Willie Adams Howie. Billy graduated from Fort Mill High School and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 385 and also the Hejaz Shrine Club. Billy retired from the construction business which involved working in several states.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sandra Kiker Howie; son, Anthony Kirk Howie; sister, Jo Howie Ellis and brother, Richard Thomas Howie. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Howie Ervin (Gene); brother, Michael Lee Howie (Regina); nephew, Mark T. Ellis and niece, Gina Dyer-Goss, who was his loving caretaker. He is also survived by his great-nephew, Jakob M. Dyer and great-niece, Brynna O. Goss.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 10:00-10:45 am at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 am with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating.
