Rock Hill – Mr. Bobby R. Craig, Sr., 84, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Atrium Health – Pineville.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 am-10:30 am.
Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Craig was the son of the late George Craig and the late Georgia Williams Craig. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Craig and Walter Craig; and his sister, Betty Burt. He was the first valedictorian of York Technical College and a US Air Force veteran. He was retired from Georgia Pacific. After retirement, he drove activity buses with Rock Hill High School. He was a member of the York Masonic Lodge #385 and the York County Shrine Club. He loved saltwater fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Vivian Caroline Morris Craig; his son, Bobby R. (Trish) Craig Jr. of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Shelly Craig and Bobby R. (Bethaney) Craig III; three great-grandchildren, Emily, Daniel, and Madalyn; and his brother-in-law, Glenn (Angie) Morris of Fort Mill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Craig’s name to the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, PO Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648.
