Bobby Lewis Garrison Sr., 86, of York, SC, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025 at White Oak Manor.
Bobby was born in York, South Carolina on June 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Sidney Sloan Garrison and the late Mary Earline Shipman Stewart . He spent his life doing what he loved most, being outdoors, hunting and fishing every chance he got. Whether it was early mornings in a deer stand or quiet afternoons by the lake, he found peace and joy in nature and shared that love with everyone around him. After retiring from Westinghouse as a welder/fabricator he turned his passion for nature into a business and opened a bait and tackle shop.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother & friend, whose stories, laughter, and strong spirit will be missed dearly.
Bobby is survived by his son, Kenneth James Garrison Sr. (Ruth); his daughters, Teresa Garrison Robbins (Doug) and Erica Garrison Rodgers (Spencer); 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; his sisters Louise Garrison Burdette and Dale Garrison, his brother’s, Donnie and Jerry Garrison. Aside from his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Terry Mims Garrison; his son’s, Bobby Lewis Garrison Jr. and Michael Wayne Garrison Sr.; his brother, Carl Garrison and sisters, Doris Garrison Mode and Ruth Bradford White.
Family will welcome friends on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10am for a visitation at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732, a service to celebrate Bobby’s life will be held following the visitation at 11am.
