Ms. Carolyn Elizabeth Miles Nesbitt of Rock Hill, SC passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2025 just 6 days before her 84th birthday. The funeral will be held Saturday, August 9th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC at 10:30 am with Pastor Jane Mitcham presiding over the service.
Interment will be at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens in Columbia; SC. Ms. Nesbitt was a native of Columbia, SC and the daughter of the late Virginia Edwards Miles and Woodrow Franklin Miles. She retired from Rock Hill Pediatrics and was a long time choir member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rock Hill, SC.
Ms. Nesbitt was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carlton Eugene Nesbitt of Rock Hill, SC, and sisters; Lorene Broeker of Palos Hills, IL, and Delores Charles of Columbia, SC
She is survived by her loving children: her son, Michael Nesbitt and his wife, Jacquelyn, along with their two children, Holland and Caroline; and her daughter, Lenora White, and her husband Bryan, and their son Spencer, and Bryan’s son Michael.
She is also survived by her sisters; Alma Binion of Savannah, GA, Ellen Garnett of Chapin, SC, her two brothers, Woodrow Miles, and wife Jean of Blythewood, SC, Frank Miles of Columbia, SC, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Carolyn will be remembered for her infinite love of God, family, friends, pets, and the passionate care for nature.
