ROCK HILL – Carrie “Carolyn” Bruorton Crocker, 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the home.
Carolyn was a loving mother and wife with a kind and generous soul as beautiful as her flower gardens. She devoted her life to making a comfortable home, beautiful yard, and knew her way around the kitchen providing a weekly Sunday spread that would put anyone out for a couch nap. She loved the outdoors and animals, especially dogs, and was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed feeding birds and the neighbor’s dog though her favorite activity was going turkey hunting with her son and husband in hopes of seeing a Gobbler strut into view.
She was survived by her husband, Eugene R. Crocker, son Henry E. Crocker (Fleta) of Rock Hill; daughters, Angela Young (Randy) and Ginger Craig of Rock Hill, and Sharon Lazarz (Steven) of Swanzey, NH; among her grandchildren are Jamie Sawyer, Casie Helms (Wesley), Holly Young-Moran (Sean), Shelly Craig, and Bobby Craig, all of Rock Hill, Shyla Foss of Swanzey, NH, and Chris Lazarz of Old Orchard Beach, ME, and numerous great grandchildren.
Born in Kannapolis, NC, she is preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Tarlton Justice, her father, Clarence Girder Bruorton, and sisters, Louise, Frances, and Shirley.
The visitation will be held at 1pm and the service at 2pm on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S Cherry Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
