Catherine Collins Price “Cathy” peacefully passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026.
A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Cathy was the beloved daughter of the late Calvin Collins and the late Nell Williams Collins Steele.
Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She loved spending time with those she cherished most and took great pride in watching her family grow. In earlier years, Cathy enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places, creating memories. She was also a loyal Gamecock fan. Her faith was an important part of her life, she was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rock Hill, where she found fellowship.
Cathy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, James Price “Jimmy” Price. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughters Halley Boatwright and Callie Boatwright Tapley (Phillip); and her treasured great-grandchildren Jackson Tapley, Rhiannon Tapley, and Hazel Tapley. She is further survived by two special cousins Lyndyll Williams (Olivia); her nieces and nephews, Roy Greene, Donna Greene Sanders, Joanne Greene, Karen Greene McCrackin, April Williams, Josh Williams (Julia), Tammy Wicker (John), and Debbie Portis (Bill); her son-in-law Chris Boatwright, as well as two special friends who meant so much to her, Jean Earl and Danna Andrews.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Dana Price Boatwright, and by her siblings Nace Williams (Sybil), Francis Greene (Bobby), and Ann Straight (Denny).
The family would like to express their gratitude to the compassionate nurses and staff at Providence Care, especially Nicole Vasquez and Portia, for the loving care and kindness.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road in Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Rock Hill.
