Rock Hill, SC – Clennie E. Davis III, 68, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at his home.
Clennie E. Davis III was born on October 27, 1954, to Clennie Davis II and Margaret Davis in Camden, SC. Throughout Clennie’s life, he enjoyed camping with his RV, skiing, boating, riding bikes, spending time with his two dogs, Lola and Bear. However, Clennie especially loved spending time with his beloved wife, Doris and his family. In his work life, Clennie spent 22 years serving his country in the United States Air Force and his most recent 10 years working as a project manager in IT for Family Dollar Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; his daughters, Emily Davis Griffin (Brian), Erika Davis Furniss (Jason), Allison Davis Robinson (Jim), and Amanda Davis; his brother, Alan Davis (Tammy); and his sister, Dale Davis (Jasco); his 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clennie Davis II and Margaret Davis.
A funeral service will be held for Clennie Davis at 1:00PM on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732, with Rev. Rick Martin officiating. Memorials can be made to Mountain View Baptist where Rev. Rick Martin officiates. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 S Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
