Rock Hill, SC – Crystal M. Hirt, 57, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill.
Crystal was born on July 17, 1966, in Charleston, South Carolina. Throughout her entire life, she possessed a strong passion and love for animals. She was an avid rescuer and lover of dogs, horses, and all sorts of animals that she worked with at her local zoo. She thoroughly enjoyed her work with at the zoo, Purina, and was proud of her service in the United States Navy and United States Coastguard. Crystal was also an avid reader, a huge Steelers fan, and always a kind and funny person to be around.
She is survived by her mother, Irmia Barlett; her sister, Brandi Wade; her cousins, Teresa McDonough (Jeff), Kelly Shelton (Mitch), Michael Boyd, Irma Gillespie (Ben), and Chassity Smith (Richard); and her pet companion, Cooper.
Crystal is preceded in death by her father, John William Hirt.
A memorial service will be held for Crystal at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
