Cynthia Bishop Stowe, 68, of York, SC passed away on February 16, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born August 21,1957 in Rock Hill, SC to Ray and Joanne Bishop.
Cindy devoted thirty-seven years to Stewart Fastener and Tool where she worked as a purchasing agent. Prior to that she worked at 84 Lumber and JCPenney. Her commitment to work instilled a strong work ethic in her children that she was proud to see them demonstrate today. In her spare time, she loved reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to pointing her family to Jesus, she spent many years of her life leading youth groups and teaching Sunday School classes. Even her last days were spent ministering to everyone around her and comforting those she loved. She was a steadfast woman of strong faith who believed God always keeps his promises. Her life was a demonstration of faith and forgiveness, humility and kindness, selflessness and love.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Stowe, Sr., daughter Brandi King (Jimmy), son Robert Brooks, Jr (Joy), stepsons Ernest Stowe, Jr (Keisha) and Jimmy Stowe (Jennifer), brother Tim Bishop (Rita), and her grandchildren: Hannah, Chloe, Xander, Neil, Ellie, Abbie, Andrew, Lee, Ernest III, Challen. Leo, Madilyn, and great-granddaughter, Savannah, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as her family carries forward her legacy of faith and love.
The family will hold a visitation on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00am followed by a memorial service at 12:00pm at Greene Funeral Home, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill SC 29732.
