Mr. David Allen Williams, 75, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home in Rock Hill.
Born on February 25, 1950, Mr. Williams was the son to the late Walter Franklin Williams and Nellie Irene Williams. He attended Rock Hill High School and graduated as a member of the class of 1968. Mr. Williams continued his pursuit of higher education by achieving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Winthrop University. Following his education, he went to work for the Rock Hill Police Department, followed by the Sherriff’s department, where he worked as a detective. Mr. Williams then had a career for over 10 years in electrical sales, before opening his own business as an electrical contractor.
In his personal life, family was very important to Mr. Williams. He loved his grandchildren dearly and had a strong impact on their lives. He also loved spending time with friends, sharing stories, doing yardwork, growing maple trees, and especially watching NASCAR. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Joan Williams; his children, John David Williams, Michael Scott Rhodes (Myra), Julie Reel (Barry), Kerry Holtel (Mike), and Mark Rhodes (Eve); his sisters, Kathryne Davis and Margaret Slusher (Steve); his 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and his niece, Rebekah.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
