Rock Hill, SC – David Larry Kimbrell, 77, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Larry was the son of the late David Lewis Kimbrell and the late Sybil McCraven Kimbrell. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul J. Atkins, and brother-in-law, Tony J. Atkins.
Larry retired from Convince Packaging York Recycle Center. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, and most of all, spending time with and loving his family. He was also a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Shelia Kimbrell; his sons, Jacob Kimbrell (Alie) of Clover, SC, and Nick Johnson (Elisbeth) of Rock Hill, SC; his sisters, Delores Johnson (Don), Diane Black (Danny), both of Rock Hill, SC and Cindy Pittman (Sam); his sisters-in-law, Peggy Atkins, Paula Atkins, and Joyce Atkins as well as his mother-in-law, Shirley Atkins, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Grace Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Larry’s life will follow at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry’s name to Grace Church of the Nazarene in Rock Hill, SC.
