Rock Hill, SC – David would like for you all to know that his work on earth is done.  On Sunday, August 20, 2023 he received a “Call”, sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning.  This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time.

David was born in Rock Hill, SC to Annie Sue Ratterree Truesdale and Donald Lindy Truesdale.  He was a beautiful bouncing baby boy who grew up to attend Rock Hill High School, serve his country in the US Navy and was a member of the Alpine Masonic Lodge Hejaz Shrine Temple.

David’s passions were NASCAR, Beach Music, Shag Dancing, Chicago Bears and Gamecock Football along with grilling. His macaroni and cheese recipe goes with him.  He was good, kind and loving. His spirit will be missed by many.

Surviving are his devoted wife of 27 years, Deborah A. Truesdale, his children Anna Truesdale Bouchard (Andrew) of Wilmington, NC, Robert Truesdale (Jill) of Saint Matthews, SC, Bennett Phifer (Belinda) of Charlotte, NC, his sister, Susan Truesdale Dawson of Rock Hill, Grandchildren Jonathan, Robbie and Aaron, his nephew, Joshua Dawson (Elysha) of Rock Hill, SC  along with numerous friends and family members that were deeply loved.

A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Greene’s Funeral Home Northwest Chapel from 3-4:30pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Junction, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC 27317. Condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.
