Rock Hill, SC – David Wayne Caudill, 50, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at his home.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV with reverend Noah Toney officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Garden, Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 noon until time of the service at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
Born in Beckley, WV, April 5, 1973, David was the son of Larry Leon Caudill and Kathy Elaine Farley Caudill. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James F Caudill; maternal grandfather, Hubert H Farley, Jr. and maternal grandmother, Virginia P Farley; uncle, Scott Caudill. David grew up in Beckley, WV, and later moved to Tazewell, VA, with his family, graduating from Tazewell High School. He attended King College (now King University), Bristol, TN, where he played on the baseball team. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball and Pittsburgh Steelers Football teams. After moving to Christiansburg, VA, he became a huge Virginia Tech football fan. He spent most of his working career in sales and lived in Rock Hill, SC.
David is survived in addition to his parents by his daughter, Ashleigh, of Los Angeles, CA; his paternal grandmother, Gloria G Caudill of Beaver, WV; his sister, Erin (Richard) Gilles of Rock Hill; his nephew, Andy Gilles; his niece, Madie Gilles.
