David Wayne Nolen, 73, passed away on February 28, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1952, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late James W. Nolen and Elsie Jane Nolen.

David accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. A graveside service was held with Hospice Chaplain Sherby officiating.
David worked for Sears Service for 44 years. He began his career as a lawn and garden technician and enjoyed working outdoors. When he retired from Sears Service in 2014, he had advanced to the role of refrigeration technician.
He enjoyed fishing, especially for striper, watching NASCAR, cheering on the Braves, and going on ocean cruises. David was blessed to go on 36 cruises, most of them with Carnival, alongside family and friends. He also cherished his Florida condo, which his friend Jamia helped him find, where he could stand in the parking lot and watch rocket launches.
David was often described as a ray of sunshine, and he truly lived up to that name.
