Dewey O. Snead, Jr., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026.
Born in Chester, South Carolina, Dewey was the beloved son of the late Dewey O. Snead, Sr. and the late Ruby M. McKeown Snead.
Dewey is survived by his son, Briston Snead (Teresa), and his daughter, Katherine Williams (Edward). He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jessica Daniel Snead, Courtney Snead, Hannah Snead, Briston Snead, Jr., Madeline Windsor, and Harrison Windsor; and his great-great-grandchild, Skylar Langley.
Dewey Snead was, above all, a loving husband and father who lived for his family. A man of action and a listening ear, he spent his life serving others as an RN in the Emergency Room and as an Orthopedics Physician Assistant. He took great pride in teaching his children the ways of the world and showed the ultimate depth of his heart by caring for his wife until her final day. “He will be deeply missed by his son and daughter, who carry his lessons and his memory forward.”
