Dixon Fletcher Roark, 32, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his home in Rock Hill, SC. He had loved ones near and was free of pain.

Born on February 9, 1993, Dixon was the son of the late Richard Roark and Vianna Sue Swindell. Originally born in Burlington, NC, Dixon lived in Rock Hill for much of his life and graduated from South Pointe High School. Throughout his life, he was always a gentleman to those closest to him and very loyal to those he loved. He was funny, quirky, and smart. As a lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a hard worker. He was happiest at home working on landscaping projects or just “puttering” around the garage. Dixon lived hard and loved harder. He fought extremely hard through his recent diagnosis and will be dearly missed by those closest to him.

Dixon is survived by his mother, Vianna Sue Cottrell, stepfather, Raymond Mark Cottrell, and his girlfriend, Sarah Miller, who stood by him throughout his illness and was a support to the family. Other survivors include: his brother, Adam Roark (Paula); his sister, Hilary Roark; his step-sister, Sarah Cottrell; his uncle, Jerry Swindell; his nephews, Elijah Russell, Peter Roark, and Patrick Roark; his niece, Ella Roark. In addition, he had a very special bond with his nephew, Carter Cottrell, who was often his fishing buddy, sous chef, and personal assistant.

Dixon is preceded in death by his father, Richard Roark, and his grandmother Mary Louise Trindel.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00PM at the funeral home. The burial will be private.
