Rock Hill, SC – Donald Kent, 87, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
Donald was born on June 21, 1936, to the late Millard and Genevieve Kent in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Donald lived his life for the Lord and was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder for over 50 years. He served his country in the United States Navy and later retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 30 years of service. His love of trains never ended. He loved his family very much and never failed to be there when he was needed.
He is survived by his wife Patty of 60 years; his son, Donald (Sherry) of Jacksonville, FL; his daughter, Teresa of Rock Hill; his granddaughter, Taylor of Rock Hill; and his sister-in-law, Flossie Darnell of Rock Hill.
A funeral service will be held for Donald Kent on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 1:00PM, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 1571 Anderson Rd S, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
The family will receive friends at Hopewell Presbyterian Church beginning at 11:00AM on Saturday.
