Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Donna Blackburn Hanna, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Chandler Place Assisted Living & Memory Care.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 201 East White Street, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend. Jon Oliphant officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Virginia at a later date. The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday in the church parlor.
Born in South Williamson, Kentucky, Mrs. Hanna was the daughter of the late Walter Virgil Trent and the late Ollie Mary Sipple Trent. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Myron Hanna, Sr.; son, Arlan Andrew Blackburn; brother, Terry D. Trent. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Rock Hill.
Mrs. Hanna is survived by two daughters, Marcella Louise Blackburn of Rock Hill, and Kathrine McNeil (Scott) Witherspoon of Fort Mill, SC; three sons, Barry Wyatt Blackburn of Guanajuato, Mexico, James M (Roxanne) Hanna Jr. of Rock Hill, William Lee (Renee) Hanna of Martinsburg, WV; two granddaughters, Caitlin Stacia Blackburn of Philadelphia, PA, and Niki (Jason) Melton of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Zachary Kenton Blackburn of Auburn, AL; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Blackburn of Phoenix, AZ; great-granddaughter, Sydney James Melton of Charlotte, NC; great-grandson, Liam Shiloh Melton of Charlotte, NC; niece, Tonya Lynn Trent of Cleveland, TN; nephew, Christopher Trent of Vero Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Hanna’s name to First ARP Church, 201 East White Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
