Doris Smarzik Keiber, age 91, passed peacefully in her home on the glorious fall morning of October 14, 2025, surrounded by her beloved husband and family.

Affectionately, known as Mama Doris, she lived her life loving others, her family and friends were her joy. She was known for her radiant smile, fabulous sense of style and her generous heart. Doris loved traveling to the beach, visiting with family and friends sharing adventures and especially playing Rummikub’s.

Doris enjoyed a wonderful relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a lifelong member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Doris was a member of the Circle of Ladies and Red Hat Society and served her church in many different ways. Doris would visit those who needed a kind word and offered her time to various ministries.

Christmas was her favorite time of year, not only in December but year-round. She was known for her love of gardening, flowers and decorating her home, she brought beauty and warmth to everything she touched.

Doris is survived by her husband, Ron Keiber, and her loving blended family of six children-Shaun Ballard (Gloria), Deborah Vincent (Scott), and Robert Smarzick Jr. (Lisa), Melinda Wagner (Paul), Amy Bobruk (Tony), Jeff Keiber (Allison). Seven Grandchildren-Jacob, Matthew, Holeigh (Noah), Dillen, Zenna, Cameron and Kaleb, and one great grandchild, Emmett- all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love, laughter, and faith.

Among her many blessings was a heartfelt friendship she shared with Gay Tanis, a bond that brought her great joy and laughter through the years. Doris shared a cherished sisterly bond with Susan Keys, who held a special place in her heart.

Her love for her family and friends will be her lasting legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Plentiful Harvest Kitchen, a ministry close to Doris’ heart.

A service of worship will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1830 Celanese Rd. Rock Hill, South Carolina, where Doris was a lifelong member. A celebration of Dori’s life will be held on Sunday, October 26th at 2:00 P.M. followed by a reception at 3:00 P.M. for family and friends to gather.
