Dylan Jeffrey Chappell, age 32, born in Lancaster and raised in Rock Hill, SC, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Dylan led a difficult life, but always kept a big smile on his face for 32 years. Dylan loved his iPad, YouTube Kids, Peppa Pig and Toy Story 2.
He loved children’s books and was a dancing machine on his good days.
Dylan attended school until he was 21 years of age, he absolutely loved going to school, as well as his school bus and his bus drivers.
Dylan became a home body after school, and was the happiest at home in his recliner, or eating in the kitchen.
Dylan is survived by his parents who loved him dearly, Sharon and Phillip Chappell; his sister, Sherrill Stevens (Mark) and their children, Jamie (Kates), Nathan, and Sophie, as well as his care givers, too many to name individually, but the family would love to thank each and every one of them for their dedicated care and support they provided to Dylan. He also leaves behind many people who loved him and were devoted to him.
Dylan will be severely missed and has left a void in many people’s hearts and lives.
Family will receive and welcome friends on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11:00am at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732 followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm with Pastor Jamie Burdette, officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road.
