Edward Leon Marnock passed away peacefully at his home on September 12, 2026. He was born on July 30, 1951, in Florence, South Carolina, to the late Edward and Mildred Marnock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathie Marnock.

Ed is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lizabeth “Beth” Marnock of Rock Hill, SC; his daughters, Erin (Jason) Camhi of Indian Land, SC, and Kate (Joshua) Hallmark of Rock Hill, SC; his sister, Barbara Marnock of Rock Hill, SC; and his grandchildren, Madelyn, Caroline, Liam, and Dayton.

Ed graduated from Winter Park High School in 1969 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rollins College in 1975. During his career, he worked for Ryder Trucks and spent more than 20 years in the furniture industry before retiring in 2019.

He loved his family. He was a great husband, father, brother, and granddaddy, and a true gentleman. He was an avid tennis player and golfer and also enjoyed playing the piano and playing and coaching soccer. His love for tennis included competing in the USTA Tennis League. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing in Florida.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to SC House Calls for the care and support they provided over the years.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
