Rock Hill, SC – Mr. George Thomas Kinzy, 76, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Piedmont Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC with Dr. Al Cadenhead officiating. Visitation with family and friends will follow the service at the funeral home.
Born in Lagrange, GA, Mr. Kinzy was the son of the late George W Kinzy and the late Sue Swain Kinzy. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Kinzy Phillips. He was a member of the US Army 145th Combat Aviation Battalion stationed in Viet Nam during the TET offensive and received honors. He was a member of the American Legion Frank Roach Post #34 in Rock Hill. He was retired from the electrical and electronic wire and cable industry. He was a member of West End Baptist Church of Rock Hill.
Mr. Kinzy is survived by his sister, Barbara (Eddie) Roland of LaGrange, GA; his nephew, Mark (Aundrea) Roland of LaGrange, GA; a great-nephew, Kinzy and a great-niece, Carlee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in George Kinzy’s name to American Legion Honor Guard, PO Box CRS 2745, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
