Rock Hill, SC – Harold “Butch” W. Parrish Jr., 75, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.

Butch was born on April 19, 1951, to the late Harold W. Parrish Sr. and Florence Elizabeth Parrish, in Newark, Ohio.  Growing up, he thoroughly enjoyed traveling and going on the trains with his father, who worked on the railroad.  After being raised in Newark, Butch married Elizabeth Ann Marriott in 1980.  The family settled in the Carolina’s and Butch worked for the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District transporting handicapped children to school.  Whether it was playing Disney music or catering to specific needs, he truly found his passion for helping children. Butch held true to his Ohio roots by being a life-long Ohio State Buckeyes fan and Cincinnati Reds fan.  He also enjoyed attending local NASCAR races for many years and sitting in the same seats.  Above all, Butch was a beloved and devoted father, husband, and all-around family man.

Mr. Parrish is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Elizabeth Parrish; his children, Tanya Parrish, Angela Ocampo (Luis), and Kristy Parrish; his grandchildren, Kyla Torres (Gender), Christopher Ocampo, Trey Evans, Ricky Ocampo, Angel Parrish, Alexa Ocampo, Emily Ocampo and Giovani Ocampo; his great-grandchildren, Naomi Torres, Zoey Torres, and Jaxon Spell; his sisters-in-law, Penny McCraven and Suezanne Bricker (Rod); his niece, Paula Taylor, and his nephews, Matthew Marriott and Johnny Swick.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Brian Parrish.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney St, Pineville, NC 28134, NC.
