Harold Dean “Dean” Humphries, 78, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on September 6, 2026.
Born on December 20, 1947, in Rock Hill, Dean was the son of the late Homer L. Humphries and Elizabeth Chaney Humphries.
Dean retired from Celanese after more than 40 years of dedicated service. Above all else, he loved being the patriarch of his family. He treasured the time he spent with those he loved and took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dean was also a devoted South Carolina Gamecocks football fan and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Rocky.
He is survived by his three sons, Brian (Christina) Humphries, Kevin (Robin) Humphries, and Travis Humphries; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley, Kylie, Holley, Kayla, Brandon, and Skylar; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery D. Humphries.
Family will welcome and receive friends on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 2P.M. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel Rock Hill, SC. A graveside service will follow immediately after at 3pm at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Dean will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his many years of hard work, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
