Harper turned the tables on us all in his nearly 10 months.
As soon as he entered the world on March 10, 2025, Harper had a talent for bouncing right into the hearts of those who met him. He taught us something nearly every day. His smile and clapping brought us joy. His giggles brought us laughter. His splashes in the tub brought us delight. His curiosity and joy brought us wonder.
But mostly, Harper taught us love. A kind many of us didn’t know.
Addison learned there were no boundaries to the love of a mom. Jacob learned there’s no love like that for a son. And Big Marv, Grandpa Brett, Nana and Grammy relearned the unconditional love of a little boy and rekindled the blessings one creates.
Whether attending a Gamecocks tailgate and game, going to a Hornets game, watching Purdue basketball, getting his first tastes of the mountains or the beach, or playing with furry friends, Harper was The life of the party. His joyful impact was impossible to deny as he found happiness all around — and with a twinkle in his eye, helped teach those around him to do the same.
Harper learned from each of those who cared for him and cherished him and loved him. But as he left this world to be with God, we learned that HE was the teacher.
And his lessons will forever be carried in the hearts he left behind.
Harper is survived by his mother, Addison Johnson; his father, Jacob Logan; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Kim Johnson; paternal grandparents, Brett and Jackie Logan; aunt, Rachel Logan; uncle, Austin Johnson; and numerous other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 am at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 4858 McConnells Hwy., York, SC 29745. Visitation will follow in the Family Life Center.
