Helen Sherer was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina January 13, 1934. She moved to Rock Hill South Carolina at 16 years of age and worked different jobs until she was hired at Celanese. She retired from Celanese and went to work for Carbon Fiber which was bought by BASF. Mom worked there for years before retiring from there. Mom was proceeded in death by her daughter Sylvia, Cornwell grandson Mitch Feagin, son Dan Sherer Sr, and Husband Albert M Sherer, Junior.
Mom attended Woodhaven Baptist Church and she loved to work in her yard. She survived by daughter, Gloria Walden and son-in-law Scott Walden of Kenai, Alaska, three grandsons including Dan Sherer Jr of Tennessee, Dell Feagin, of Kenai, Alaska, Jason and Heather Yarborough of Rock Hill South Carolina. She has five great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She asked that no flowers be sent, but please feel free to donate to Woodhaven Baptist Church at 2060 Marett Blvd., Rock Hill, SC 29732.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
