Rock Hill, SC – Howard F. Fox, 95, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Terra Bella in Rock Hill.

Mr. Fox was born on March 29, 1929, to the late Charles Fox and Eulaila Lamb Fox in Inman, South Carolina.  During his early life, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 25 years, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant.  After his time in the service, he earned his master’s degree from Winthrop University and became a full-time teacher.  He taught ROTC, History and German at Northwestern High School. After his retirement, Mr. Fox enjoyed spending his time with friends at the Elks Club in Rock Hill playing cards and shooting pool.  Throughout his life, he especially treasured his time with his family and his many pets.

Mr. Fox is survived by his wife, Gudrun Kretz Fox; his children, Glenn Fox, Marko Fox (Liz Corbett), Pamela Price, and Linda Morgan (David); his grandchildren, Savanna Purcell, Lexi Morgan, Sydney Fox, and Eno Fox; as well as his nieces Patsy Johns, Kathy Alexander and Brenda Fox, and nephews Don Alexander and Daryl Fox.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Gunnar Morgan, his nephew Louie Fox, his late parents, and his siblings, Charles Fox, John Fox, Polly Alexander, Etrulia Fox, and Bobby Fox.

A celebration of life service will be held for Mr. Fox at 2:30 PM on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Howard F. Fox’s name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at their local PO Box 3042, Lancaster, SC 29721.
