Jack Ferguson went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2025, after what he described as “85 great years” on this earth.
Born in Beaufort, SC, on August 8, 1939, he was the son of the late Daniel Alec Ferguson and Margaret Wilkes Ferguson.
A beloved husband, father, brother, and mentor, Jack was a generous, kind-hearted man who was dedicated to serving others. From opening his home to those in need, to helping his children with their schoolwork, to cooking food for the youth group, Jack enjoyed helping others. A committed educator, Jack spent over 30 years teaching engineering graphics technology at Central Carolina Technical College. Beyond his professional work, he devoted himself to teaching Sunday school, working in public schools, and tutoring students. Jack will be missed by all who knew him.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Jane (Jarvis) Ferguson; his loving sons, Jeff Ferguson (Tracey), Jonathan Ferguson (Meaghan), and Sean Hope; his cherished grandchildren, Wilkes, Ella, Patrick and Olivia, as well as his siblings, William Ferguson (Carol) and Carolyn “Sister” Hoover (Bob).
A memorial service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held on Thursday, February 27, at 2pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1320 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. A livestream of the service will be posted on Jack’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/jack.fergusonline
