Rock Hill, SC – James Henry Kimbrell, Jr., 76, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
James or “Pop” as many of us called him, worked for Courtney Electric for over 40 years as an electrician. He enjoyed the beach, bowling, rodeos, drag racing, hunting, and fishing. He would’ve given the shirt off his back for anyone; he was a man’s man. He worked very hard and loved his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Dana Carelock; his siblings, Finley Kimbrell, Butch Kimbrell, and Ethel Williams; his grandchildren, Markie Carelock and Brittany Carelock; and his great-granddaughter, Everly Woods.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Blaine Kimbrell.
A memorial service for Mr. Kimbrell will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
