James Preston Conner, 20, of Rock Hill, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, as the result of a tragic automobile accident.
Preston was a young man who truly loved life. He had a larger-than-life personality and a gift for making people laugh. His sense of humor, infectious smile, and ability to bring joy to those around him will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Preston was a character in the very best sense of the word, leaving lasting memories and countless stories that family and friends will cherish forever.
He is survived by his beloved Nana, Vickie Conner; his father, Scott Conner; his mother, Brandi Hastreiter (Matt); his brothers, Jordon Conner (Lauren) and Brent Quinn; his sisters, Kaylee Quinn and Khloe Hahn; and his great-grandfather, Don Quinn. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his laughter, kindness, and unique spirit.
Though his time here was far too short, Preston’s legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 1:00-2:45 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 830 N. Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730. A Celebration of Life will follow at the church at 3:00 pm with Reverend Michael Polston officiating.
