Rock Hill SC- Jerry Eugene Ferrell 77, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte NC.
Jerry was born in Rock Hill, SC and was the son of the late Paul Ferrell and the late Mildred Carrouth Ferrell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Ferrell. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, a Mason and a Shriner. He was retired from the South Carolina Highway Patrol with the rank of 1st Sargent. After he retired from Patrol he did many different jobs including CDL Instructor, Tour Bus driver and Owner Operator to name a few. Jerry was an avid fisherman and a longtime Clemson Tiger fan. He loved spending time with his family and his beloved cat Trooper.
A memorial service to honor Jerry’s life will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road with the Rev. Tony Caruso officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Vicky Jones Ferrell; his three sons, Jerry E. (Tommie Jo) Ferrell II of York SC, Coleman (Ashley) Ferrell of Union SC and Chuck (Ginger) MacDonald of Belmont NC; his two daughters Tracy Ferrell of Monroe NC and Danielle (Gabe) Hill of Rock Hill SC; his brother Donald Ferrell (Eileen) of Gerton NC, his sister Sandy Lollis of Pelzer SC and his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
