Rock Hill – Ms. Joann Williams Ghant, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at her home.
Graveside service and visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 3:00pm at Grandview Memorial Park, 649 S Cherry Road, Rock Hill.
A native of York County, Mrs. Ghant was a daughter of the late Elbert Boston Williams and the late Mary Boyd Williams. She was a charter member of Grace Ministries Church. She loved her family!
Surviving are her two daughters, Cheryl G. Boan (Tim) and Barbara G. Parker (Michael); her grandchildren, Jonathan Boan (Julie), Bryan Boan and Mrs. Billie Jo Parker Thrift; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kelly, Kayla and Kelsey; her brothers, Bert Williams, Jr., Wayne Williams and Billy Williams; and her sisters, Bessie Meadows and Peggy Costner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Sonny” Ghant; her brothers, David Lyle Williams, Sr., Roger Williams and Wilson Sturgis; and her sister, Martha Williams.
