Rock Hill, SC – Mr. John F. “Jack” Beall,76, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 481 Hood Center Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with Reverend Jamie Burdette officiating.  Visitation will be held Monday, September 4, 2023 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Visitation will also be held on Friday, September 10, 2023 from          at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD, 20707. Funeral services for Mr. Beall will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Hope Baptist Church, 8301 Stevens Road, Laurel, MD 20723.  Interment will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD, 21075.

Born in Riverdale, MD, Mr. Beall was the son of the late Joseph Deaver Beall and the late Ann Teresa Givens Beall.  He was drafted into the Army and served three years, with two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Cross of Gallantry.  He previously worked for WB Maske Sheet Metal in Bladensburg, MD. In 1986, he began his career with the Department of the Navy.  He retired in 2010 from the David Taylor Model Basin where he worked as a Model Maker.  During his career, he received numerous accolades and monetary awards as he participated in the Suggestion Program.

Mr. Beall enjoyed playing softball and participated in many leagues. He enjoyed coaching the Boys and Girls Club’s basketball and softball teams in Maryland City and served as an umpire at all levels of softball in the boys and girls league and men’s and women’s leagues.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 60 in Laurel, MD.   Mr. Beall enjoyed staying active in his churches.  He enjoyed participating in Mission trips with Hope Baptist and Builders for Christ in Maryland.  He loved his Rock Hill First Baptist Church family and was always willingly to lend a hand to anyone in need.  Mr. Beall loved his family and especially enjoyed traveling on cruises with his wife, Amber.  A caring father, he was always up for a good “Dad” joke.

Mr. Beall is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Amber L. Beall; his daughter, Nikki Beall (Shannon Frye) of Annandale, VA; his brother, Jim Fischetti (Grace) of Laurel, MD and his twin brother, Joseph Beall of Covington, VA; a number of nieces and nephews and his grand-dogs, Harper and Rooney.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Fischetti and his sister, Jeri Webb.
