Johnny Larry Campbell (September 2, 1958 – April 18, 2026)

This is not an ad for a pawn shop—it’s a farewell to a one-of-a-kind man whose life was full of character, humor, and heart.

Johnny Larry Campbell, a proud native of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away on April 18, 2026. Born in 1958 to Calvin and Rosie Campbell, Johnny lived a life defined by dedication to his wife, his kids, and his work.

He was a devoted husband to Cyndy, a loving father to Meghan and Kevin (Alicia), and a proud “Pop” to his grandson, Henry. He is also survived by his brothers, Kenny (Darlene) and Ronnie (Leslie), and his sister, Carla (Terry), and his lifelong best friend, Joey, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Johnny served his country with pride as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1977 to 1983. Following his service, he built a lifelong career as a skilled mechanic, known for his ability to fix just about anything—especially in his garage, his favorite place to be.

An avid collector of Hawaiian shirts and a cigar aficionado, Johnny had a personality as colorful as his wardrobe. He was always ready to lend a hand, especially to his daughter, and found great joy in helping others. He leaves behind not only cherished memories, but also a garage full of tools and treasures—each with a story of its own.

Johnny loved sharing a glass of Buffalo Trace with friends and family, often gathered in his garage swapping hilarious stories. Those moments—simple, genuine, and full of life—will be remembered by all who knew him.

In keeping with Johnny’s spirit, friends and family are invited to don their best pirate attire and Parrot Head gear as they gather to celebrate his life. Services will be held at Greene’s Funeral Home located at 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 on Saturday April 25, 2026. Visitation will start at 11:00 am; the service will be held at 12:00 p.m., where we will send Johnny off as he embarks on his final voyage.

He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever part of the stories we continue to tell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Havenwood Behavioral Health at Springbrook; a facility filled with compassionate staff who took great care of Johnny and provided him with the help he needed.
