Rock Hill, SC – Johnny Lee Pittman, 83, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at his home.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill with Reverend Rick Kirchinger officiating.
Born in Fort Mill, SC, Mr. Pittman was the son of the late John Edward Pittman and the late Lena Garner Pittman. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ann Harris Pittman. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching old western TV shows from his childhood and loved Clemson Football. He was a past member of First Freewill Baptist Church and a past member of New Hope Baptist Church of Rock Hill.
Mr. Pittman is survived by his four sons, Mike (Shannon) Pittman of Irmo, SC, Eddie (Deidre) Pittman, Brian Pittman, and Jeff Pittman all of Rock Hill; his five grandchildren, Camryn, Alex, Parker, Ashleigh, and Peyton; his four great-grandsons and his beloved great-grand-dog, Esso, his best buddy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Johnny Pittman’s name to Meals On Wheels, % of York County Council on Aging, P.O. Box 11519, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
