It is with deep sorrow yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Jonette Pizzurro Wilson, a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on May 27, 2026. She was born on April 27, 1953, in the sunlit town of Mountain View, California, to the loving arms of Anthony Romeo Pizzurro and Antoinette Virginia Alioto.

Jonette lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and an indomitable spirit. Her journey from a small-town girl in Mountain View to a beloved community figure in Rock Hill, South Carolina, was one filled with love and accomplishment. She found love and companionship with her husband, Mark Wilson, whom she married on her birthday, April 27, 1996, in a joyful ceremony in San Ramon, California, marking the beginning of a beautiful 30-year partnership.

Her career as an HR Manager in the health care industry was not just a job but a calling. Jonette was known for her empathetic nature and ability to connect with people, making her an invaluable asset to her colleagues and the many lives she touched in her professional journey. Outside of her career, Jonette was a pillar of her community. Her leadership as President of New Southern Women and her involvement in various volunteer projects at Faith Church in Rock Hill, SC, showcased her unwavering commitment to service. She also served on the Board of the Rock Hill Community Theater, where she combined her passion for the arts with her talent for organization and creativity. Her love for theater was evident in the 13 community theater plays she participated in across York County, SC, bringing joy and laughter to audiences and fellow cast members alike.

Jonette’s kitchen was always a hub of warmth and delicious aromas, as she loved cooking meals for church gatherings and family events. Her great sense of humor and loving nature made every moment spent with her a cherished memory. She was a generous soul, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a hearty laugh.

Jonette leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, survived by her devoted husband, Mark Wilson; her brother, Richard Pizzurro; her nephew, Kevin Pizzurro; and her niece, Dawn Marie. Her family, enriched by her presence, will forever remember her as a source of strength and love.

In honor of Jonette’s remarkable life, a memorial service will be announced soon, allowing friends and family to come together to celebrate her memory and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Jonette’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide us.
