Rock Hill, SC – Joseph Warren Grant Jr., 82, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at White Oak Rehab in Rock Hill.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, SC, with Reverend Rick Martin officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Rd. The family will receive friends from 1 PM to 2 PM on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Sumter, SC, on August 12, 1943, Mr. Grant was the son of the late Joseph Warren Grant Sr. and the late Mary Grace Arrants Grant. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Bernice Geddings and Daisy Cole. He was a college graduate from USC in education and attended Winthrop University, where he earned his master’s degree. He served in the National Guard for six years and worked as a highway patrol dispatcher. He later retired from the York County School District and owned a driver’s education business.
Mr. Grant is survived by his brothers, William Grant (Pat), Robert Grant (Ferris), Johnny Grant (Debbie), and PJ Hodge, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
