Clover, SC – Judy Beckham Bailey, 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
Judy was born in Rock Hill, SC, and was the daughter of Gladys Halvorson Beckman of Rock Hill and the late William T. Beckham. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Lollis and MaryAnn Carothers. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Judy was retired from Bank of America and Family Trust Federal Credit Union. Judy was an amazing woman with strong faith, strength and a giving heart. Judy was the Best Mom in the world with her children and grandchildren at the center of her life. Judy also loved to camp, snow ski, visit the mountains and was ready to go on a trip anytime.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Lakewood Baptist Church, 3520 Mount Gallant Road with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
In addition to her mother, Judy is survived by her son, Jodey Brice Wingate (Lea) and her daughter, Daun Wingate Davidson (Tim), all of York, SC; and her grandchildren, Morghan Davidson, Zachary Davidson, Ashton Wingate, Cade Wingate, and Asher Wingate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Judy’s name be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 or Lakewood Baptist Church, 3520 Mount Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
