Judy F. Kersey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 29th at the age of 74. Born on October 19th,1950 in Charlotte, NC, Judy lived a life marked by her joyful spirit and generous heart.
Judy treasured time spent with her family, and some of her happiest memories were made during holidays, vacations and family gatherings. Her beach house was a place of joy and togetherness, where family bonds grew stronger with every visit. She also found peace and renewal in the mountains; their quiet strength and breathtaking beauty reminded her of God’s majesty in creation.
Judy is preceded in death by her mother and father, Joe and Margaret Fox. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband Dillard W. Kersey Jr., her daughter Deana Kersey Middlesworth and son-in-law Kirk, her grandson Grant Middlesworth, her granddaughter Elizabeth Middlesworth Petrucci and husband Trevor, and her sister Carol Johnson and husband Dale. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Judy will be deeply missed, but her memories and love will remain forever in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6th at Park Baptist Church, 717 E Main Street, Rock Hill, SC. Family and friends are invited to gather in worship and remembrance, celebrating the beautiful life Judy lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Park Baptist Church in her honor. A visitation with the family will follow the service.
