Rock Hill, SC – Brenda Jewell “Judy” Kennedy, 80, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Judy was the daughter of the late George Washington Hunter and the late Myrtle Bowers Hunter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank “Dusty” Kennedy, and her sister, Nancy Lowery. Judy enjoyed reading, eating, and cooking for her friends at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved all animals, especially dogs and cats. Above all, she loved her precious cat, Baby Face. She attended College Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are her three sisters, Diane Westbrook of Rock Hill, SC, Joyce A. Collins of Rock Hill, SC, and Iris Miriam Trader of Florence, SC; two brothers, Donald E. Hunter of Chester, SC and George M. Hunter (Elizabeth) of Rock Hill, SC; her dear friend of more than 50 years, Margaret; her special friend, Kay Harris, who cared well for her – all the way until the end; and many nieces and nephews.
