Karen Renita Sanders Hall joined her Heavenly Father on March 10, 2025. Karen was born on March 17, 1960 in Brevard, NC. From an early age, it was evident that Karen embodied the true meaning of Christ-like love toward her siblings. Her love radiated as she was their friend, encourager, leader, and supporter. She loved her brother and sisters tremendously.
She continued to exemplify loving leadership in her career choice of becoming a teacher. After graduating in 1978 from Rosman High School, Karen chose to attend Tennessee Temple University and graduated in the class of 1983. Shortly after, she began her teaching journey at Oakwood Christian School in Anderson, SC. She then transferred to T.C. Henderson Elementary in Lake Toxaway, NC, where she was also a librarian. She was blossoming as a young teacher and soon found the love of her life.
On December 27, 1986, Karen married Phillip Lawerence Hall. Phil and Karen shared a special love for one another and complimented each other perfectly. Karen was a wonderful helpmate to Phil and demonstrated great sacrificial love. Phil and Karen started their lives together in Brevard, NC. Karen began teaching at Brevard Elementary School, where she continued to blossom as an educator.
Soon after marriage, Phil and Karen were blessed with the birth of their son, Tyler Earl Hall. Through becoming a mother, Karen developed a new kind of love. Evident through her actions, Karen loved her son deeply. As Ty grew, she encouraged him in his endeavors and was always proud of him. Ty provided her with so much joy.
Eventually, the Halls moved to Rock Hill, SC where Karen started teaching at Oakdale Elementary School, which is where the amazing Mrs. Hall was nominated as teacher of the year. Karen desired to pursue further education while teaching at Oakdale and achieved a Masters Degree from Lesley University. Eventually, she transitioned to Gold Hill Elementary School, which is where she retired after 43 years of teaching in January of 2025.
Karen Sanders Hall was loved by so many. She is remembered by her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, caring leadership and friendly spirit. Though she is missed deeply by all who knew her, there is joy knowing that she is completely healed and with her loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
