Rock Hill, SC – With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, wife, and grandmother, who left this world far too soon, but in peace.
Kelly passed away Saturday evening in the arms of her children and husband, without pain.
She was the center of our family’s universe—the kind of woman whose presence filled a room and made everything feel lighter, warmer, and more alive. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Poore, who fell in love with her all over again each time he saw her face; her three children, Allison Lollis, Holly Rome, and Landon Davies, who carry her strength and spirit forward; their spouses, Oliver, Jason, and Liz, who supported the family tirelessly in this final chapter; and her four grandchildren, Ollie, Sophie, Cameron, and Palmer, who were the light of her life.
To know her was to love her. Her generosity and selflessness for those she loved were endless. She had a gravity that drew people in—whether through her kindness or her humor, people sought her out as a friend and confidant. She had a way of making ordinary days feel special and hard days feel survivable. With her by your side, anything felt possible.
But more than anything, she was a fighter—the strongest person we have ever known. She faced more challenges in life than anyone should, yet met them with courage, resilience, and a determination that inspired everyone around her. Even in the hardest moments, she carried herself with grace and an unshakable spirit.
She had so much life in her—so much more to give, so many more memories to make. That is what makes her loss feel impossible. And yet, there is peace in knowing that she is now at rest.
Her love did not leave with her. It lives on in her family—in the laughter she taught us, the strength she showed us, and the deep, enduring bond she created between all of us.
We will miss her every day. We will carry her with us always.
Our family plans to celebrate Kelly’s life Friday April 24th from 1-3:30pm on the 5th floor of The Pump House. We look forward to being surrounded by stories, memories and people who she touched. All are welcome.
