Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Kenneth (Red) Rochelle McDaniel, 89, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, surrounded by his three loving daughters – Wanda Fields, Teresa Bivins and Paula McDaniel – who were with their dad during his passing. He made sure that his daughters stayed up until midnight on NYE, and passed shortly after they said Happy New Year Daddy.

A graveside service for Ken will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road, Rock Hill.

Ken was born in Blacksburg, SC, and was the son of the late Lawrence McDaniel and the late Zuyler McKnight McDaniel. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life – his wife, Barbara Ann McDaniel.

Ken proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a patriotic American that honored the United States Flag.  Ken loved sharing stories about the lighter side of his service days with his family and friends, and came full circle during his last days residing at Palmetto Patriots Home in Gaffney, where many laughs were shared. After serving his country, Ken worked at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing, and retired from Duff Norton of Charlotte. Family meant everything to Ken and his wife Barbara. Together, they were the epitome of a loving couple, who were often seen holding hands. They were role model parents. Everyone who knew Ken & Barbara, felt their love.

Ken is survived by his three daughters, Wanda Fields (Dennis Funderburke), Teresa Bivins (Bruce Bivins), and Paula McDaniel (Toni Marie); and his four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
