Rock Hill, SC – Kenneth Wesley Dunnells, 59, passed away at his home on March 16, 2026, with his sister by his side. He was born on December 14, 1966, in Rock Hill, SC. Kenneth was adopted along with his younger brother Jeffrey by parents, Buzz and Joni Dunnells. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Dunnells.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Flecther; brother, Donny Kennington; sister, Pamela Dunnells (Larry Thomas); favorite niece, Amanda Boyette (Mitchell, and daughter, Adaline), Amanda’s mother, Lora Lollie; friend, Larry Bivens; and many other family and friends.
Kenneth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Catawba Ward. He made a special trip to Utah to learn more about the church’s heritage and the pioneer trail, and he attended services at the Salt Lake City Temple.
He lived on the Catawba Reservation and was proud of his heritage, as the nephew of the late Chief Blue. Kenneth gave back to his community by volunteering at the Catawba Nation Senior Center.
In his younger years, Kenneth and his family lived on several military bases, including Shaw Air Force Base. During that time, he enjoyed being on the swim team alongside his brother and sister, Pam and Jeff.
Kenneth was a big fan of the Clemson Tigers football team. He loved watching games all the time and attending whenever he could, and he had a passion for sports of all kinds.
