York, SC – Mr. Kenny “Brillo” Plemons, 75, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at York Wesleyan Church, 1830 York Highway, York, SC 29745 with Pastors Travis Ward and Todd Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park-Hollis Lakes, Rock Hill. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 12:00-1:45 pm.
Kenny was a native of Rock Hill, SC and was the son of the late Woodrow Plemons and the late Margie Plemons. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier with 41 years of service. Kenny was a United States Air Force veteran and served from 1967-1971. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served as a Security Police Officer. He was president of NALC Branch 1003 and was a member of the American Legion Post #34. He enjoyed playing softball over the years. He also umpired both men and women’s games in numerous leagues. Kenny enjoyed playing golf, gardening and farming. He also enjoyed his annual beach golf trips with his friends and sons. He attended York Wesleyan Church.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pamela Plemons; two sons, David Plemons (Susan) and Michael Plemons (Irish); step-daughters, Lori Kimble and Rachel Mode (Jacob); grandchildren, Emily Plemons, Austin Plemons, Rylan Plemons, Benjamin Mode, Christopher Mode, Kay Mode and Olivia Mode; his sisters, Bobbie Weaver (Benny) and Sandra Hinson (Ricky); and three nephews and two nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Thompson.
