Rock Hill, SC – Kevin Francis O’Rourke passed away on September 4, 2023. He was born on September 25, 1964 in Boston, MA and was the son of the late Gerald Francis Rourke and Carole Rourke of Cary, NC.
Mr. O’Rourke was an avid adventurer. He enjoyed hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and traveling. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina Class of 1986. He was passionate about Apparo, a non-profit organization that helps other non-profits with their IT needs.
He was survived by his loving wife for 25 years, Stephanie K. O’Rourke; his two daughters, Erin Makenzie and Megan Delaney O’Rourke of Rock Hill, SC; his two brothers, Brian O’Rourke and Neil O’Rourke of Cary, NC; and his two sisters, Brenda (Bob) Singer and Karen Jahn of Cary, NC.
The family plans to have a Celebration of Life in mid-October. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Kevin O’Rourke’s name to Hospice and Community Care PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 or Appalachian Trail Conservancy PO Box 807, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.
