Sharon, SC – Kristy “Kris” Denise Moore, 38, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at MUSC Health Northeast Medical Center, Columbia SC.
Kristy was born on July 28, 1987, in Richland County, SC. She is the daughter of Roger Dale Moore, Sr. and Jo Ann Gunn Moore of Sharon, SC. Born with special needs, Kris lived a life defined by courage and love; showing extraordinary resilience and joy. Kris attended York School District One Special Education Program. She was very outspoken and never met a stranger. Once she met you, she would never forget you. Kris leaves behind a life rich with stories, laughter, and a deep love for music and movies.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings Cindy Adams (Tommy) of Rock Hill, Melissa Wallace (David) of Sharon, and Roger Dale Moore Jr (Misty) of York. Four nieces, four nephews, nine great nieces, and 2 great nephews. Along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who she loved dearly.
Kristy is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Dexter and Nellie Gunn; Paternal Grandparents Eldon and Ramona Moore; and her nephew, Joshua Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday January 18, 2026, at Faith Rising Community Church, 26 Wainwright Ave, York SC. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Tirzah ARP Cemetery, 6161 Mt Gallant Rd, York SC. All other times, family will be receiving visitors at the home of Cindy Adams.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
