Larry Dean McClure, 73, passed away on June 12, 2025. Born on January 6, 1952, he was the son of the late Ralph Henderson McClure and Helen Aileen Penley.
Larry was ordained as an evangelist in 1972 and dedicated 40 years of his life to prison ministry, serving from 1972 to 2012. He was a devoted member of his church, faithfully teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon, and stepping in to preach when needed. His faith and service touched many lives.
He worked for Westinghouse in Charlotte, NC for 42 years and retired in 2014 at the age of 62. Larry was known for his deep love for his family and his steadfast commitment to his faith and work.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 25 years, Terri Renee LeMaster; and his son, Mark Benjamin McClure.
Larry is survived by his children, Steven Darrell McClure, Jerry Dean McClure, and stepson Arthur Derrick Dill; his nephew, David Hamrick; six grandchildren; and one great-nephew.
His legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2 PM at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.
