Larry Dwayne Rogers, Sr., 75, went home to be with The Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026, at his home in Catawba, SC.  Larry was born June 27, 1950, in York County, South Carolina.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who loved his family, his work, and the Lord with all his heart.  He worked for Reeves Construction Company in Duncan, South Carolina, where he served as a Superintendent and Foreman for 18 years. He truly loved his job and the people he worked with, and he took great pride in the work he did.

Larry lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed riding horses, racing cars, and working with old cars. He was also a lifetime member of the Dixieland Cruisers and was loved by many friends and fellow members. He was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church in Rock Hill, where his love for the Lord was evident to all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Lucas Rogers; his children, Dwayne Rogers (Kelly), Melissa R. Brazil (Ron), Tod Rogers (Priscilla), Phillip Rector (Noelle), Rebecca Craig (Donald), and Charles Rector (Melissa); his siblings, Jimmy Rogers (Janice), Ronnie Rogers (Ellen), Wanda Pryor (Sandy), Beth Spell (Mike), Steve Rogers (Gail), Michael Rogers (Lean), and Gina Rogers; and his 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; all of whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Danielle “Buck” Rogers, Jr., and his mother, Mary Jane Blue Rogers Elkins. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Dan Rogers III, Fred Rogers, Alvin Rodgers, and Timmy Rogers.

The family will hold a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.  Sara Rogers will also receive family and friends at their home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Eastside Baptist Church, 318 N. Jones Avenue Rock Hill, SC 29730.  Burial will take place following the service at Grandview Memorial Park, 401 Hollis Lakes Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
