Rock Hill, SC – Laura Barker, a loving mother and the gentlest of souls, passed away leaving behind the people she cherished most—her beloved children, her son, Bryan Barker and her daughter, Laura Kay Barker Jr.
In her younger years, Laura worked as a housekeeper, a role that reflected her hardworking and caring nature. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to 90’s R&B, dancing, and bringing smiles to the faces of everyone around her.
Laura was known for her kindness and her ability to show empathy and love to anyone she met, regardless of their background. Her heart was open to all, and she had a gift for making people feel seen and valued.
A woman of faith, Laura attended several churches around the Cherry Road area. She loved Jesus deeply and believed strongly in helping others whenever she could.
Laura’s warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and community.
